Aastra 560M Sidecar. The Aastra 560M is a perfect extension for receptionist and business persons alike. I personally use one to help me organize everyone I need to quickly get in touch with using the speed dial function. It also allows me to set up one touch feature codes from our trixbox CE PBX built system. A good example would be to set the speed dial to call *97 which will check my voicemail, or *62 to set my phone up for "Wake up Call Back" which I use as an alarm clock or as a reminder.

When I first set up this device I was excited to set up a bunch of speed dials and look at some of the other quick key's features it can do. When I saw that it's capable of setting up Busy Lamp Fields I quickly set up a couple more extensions and phones and started playing with this feature. At first it was difficult to figure out how to set it up. After trying a couple of different configurations, I finally figured out the BLF configuration and rebooted the phone. It worked perfectly. When a call comes into an extension the red light will blink and when the extension is on the phone the light stays solid. This is going to make our customers very happy. Every receptionist asks for this feature and now we can deliver it very easily.

The Aastra 560M allows up to 60 different quick keys on one extension module. Up to three modules can be used with either the 55i, 57i or 57i CT telephone to create a powerful, feature rich console option.
